Patsy was no stranger to beauty pageants ~ she handily won the Miss Virginia pageant in 1954 after singing "Faded Love" for her talent segment.  The judges declared that she would thereafter be known as "the best damndest singer who ever walked the face of the earth!"

Someone once remarked that Patsy Cline was a cross between Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, and Gina Lollobrigida.  Perhaps Patsy was switched at birth with one of these gals?
