Imagine That...!  Before hitting the big time at the Grand Ole Opry, Patsy starred in "Mogambo" with Clark Gable in 1953.  Now that I see this, it's easy to understand why folks always said that Patsy reminded them of Ava Gardner!!

Look what I learned about the TV show, "Rawhide:"

"On January 9, 1959, the first episode of Rawhide was aired on television.  The show revolved around an endless cattle drive, which seemed to be quite a popular topic, and it was a hit. The well-written, realistic stories and engaging characters kept audiences entertained and interested.  Eric Fleming was trail boss for the first 204 episodes, Clint Eastwood took over during the seventh season, and pert singer Patsy Cline took the reins from him.  Over the years, they battled against nature, man, and lousy record deals. Some of the obstacles in the way of completing the drive were: finding stray dogies, finding waterholes and grazing land for the beeves, not to mention battling tornadoes, wolves, pumas, Indians, and W.S. Stevenson.  As the only female on the drive, Pat had to battle Rowdy, Gil, Mushy, Wishbone, Pete, and Jim. "
